Matthias Pfeffer

Matthias Pfeffer, born 1961, TV journalist, author and advisor, Founder and Director of the Think-and Do Tank Council for European Public Space studied philosophy and was initially a war reporter for SPIEGEL TV and Sat. 1 before establishing FOCUS TV (Hubert-Burda-Media, Munich) in 1995, which he headed as managing director and editor-in-chief for 20 years.

At TUM Munich he is lecturer on Digitization and Democracy. Matthias Pfeffer was consultant for the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) in their project A European Perspective.
As Director of the Council for European Public Space, he currently works for a democratic public sphere in Europe.
